Solar Panel Tracker VR
Solar trackers help efficiently gather solar energy by following the sun throughout the day, like a sunflower.
We created an educational experience to teach VR locomotion (teleportation) and how solar panel trackers work. This is the app we onboard people new to VR.
A Virtual Avatar is used to help external viewers visualize what is happening in the experience.
Locomotion
There are no buttons to learn, the artificial sun is attached to your left controller (hand) and the solar panel trackers will follow it's position as you move it and try to achieve maximum efficiency in your solar farm.
Educational
The solar farm generates electricity to the city, and the user learns that with the use of a solar battery, the fluctuations in generation are smoothed out to match energy supply and demand.
